Job Overview:
The Warehouse Associate will report to the Purchasing Manager to assist with verifying the delivery of items into the warehouse including checking incoming shipments against records making sure items are correctly packed, unloaded and distributed.
Also responsible for organizing inventory and maintaining quality control.
Document outbound shipments and ensure orders are processed and completed correctly.
Responsibilities:
Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities and types of products to be kitted and or shipped Perform material staging, kitting, HAZMAT handling, and material distribution Perform weekly cycle counts-inventory of material Document and verify counts of inventory requested on Purchase Orders, receive into accounting system Visually inspect incoming and outgoing products and tooling for damage or flaws; document and report damages to supervisor Pack, seal and label materials/pallets for shipping Organize & maintain a clean warehouse.
Maintain Shipping Logs & Purchase Request Logs Performs simple, routine work; Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction; Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor.
Any deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor/manager Must have High school diploma, GED, or equivalent field work experience Must be 18 years of age or older Must be Eligible to work in the United States Proven ability to work in a warehouse/storeroom environment where occasional lifting of up to 50lbs Minimum 1-year experience in a warehouse environment Must be able to work independently and as a group Must be able to operate basic hand tools Must be able to differentiate colors in order to identify/ repair fiber optic cables and copper cables.
Must be computer literate and detail oriented.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or-two step instructions provided in written or oral form Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and other co-workers in both one-on-one and small-group situations Good communication skills Team player Demonstrate ability to comprehend complex problems and formulate a solution with the full understanding of the solutions implications Must have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to have a pleasant, courteous, and professional appearance and approach in dealing with customers No relocation offered.
