The IT Procurement team is looking for an IT Procurement Specialist. The role is based out of the company's head office in San Diego California. This is a 12-month contract role, with the potential to extend. The IT Procurement Team runs the source to contract process for a broad portfolio of global IT procurement events across hardware, software and services. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical expertise in both IT sourcing and IT contracting and can manage the procurement process from requirements gathering through to contract execution. They have strong influencing skills and can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Leads the IT contract negotiations with the supplier. Establishes working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. Reviews and manages contracts, working directly with the internal client and the supplier to ensure that the contract meets the business and legal needs. Provides analysis of contract terms to advise internal clients of contractual risks or issues, rights and obligations. Ensures agreements include approved terms that comply with security, regulatory and legal requirements. Redline markups of complex IT contracts with minimal oversight. Escalate key legal and business issues to the appropriate in-house subject matter experts to finalize contractual terms.
Minimum Qualification
College graduate with 5+ years of experience negotiating IT contracts. IT contract drafting experience for SaaS, software licensing, hardware, privacy, data security and SLAs. Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills. Comfortable and credible interacting with internal and external audiences. Solid financial and analytical skills. Embraces fact-based decision making. Proven experience working in IT or supporting an IT organization by managing vendor selection, negotiating pricing, contract implementation and vendor management throughout the lifecycle. Professional individual who works well with others but can also work successfully automatously. Ability to multi-task multiple vendor transactions in a procurement function within a large corporation.
preferred Qualification
Paralegal Certificate Advanced knowledge of the IT supply market, trends and opportunities.
Required: Bachelor's or equivalent experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
